Please recommend Dr in Islamabad

Dear all,very helping information for doctors in Lahore (post # 84045). My mother is having sever pain in left leg and MRi conducted at shifa Islamabad. Dr said disk is moved from it's place and pushed nerve which caused pain. Needs operation to fix. My mother don't agree for operation. She is 62 and having bp and sugar issue also. Plz advise for best Dr in Islamabad to avoid operation.

Dear Shoaib - I had the similar problem in the past since I am a chronic patient of diabetese and high blood pressure. I doubt the problem you have indicated is due to diabetic neuropathy. I suggest you get her consulted by a Neurologist. There are intra-muscular injections for this purpose. May Almighty Allah relieve her pain (Ameen).

Sir I am not an orthopedic surgeon but am a Doctor with experience in it. Its true that people with BP and Sugar should be cautious going into any procedure. Diabetics have increased or decreased pain sensation than normal people anyways. Her BP and Sugar should be controlled 101% before any elective procedure is undertaken if decided and any Dr hurrying the procedure before doing this shouldn`t be trusted to much in my opinion. Her condition as described seem to be what is called Sciatica. What Mr MJM is describing for her won`t do. Get opinion from Orthopedics or NeuroSurgeon who both handle such cases. Who? I can`t say for Islamabad, Anyone with FRCS or FACS Diploma. Try to get her checked in PIMS by some Assistant Professor and above as there the doctors won`t have incentive to getting patient under the knife just to charge you for the procedure. Try to take some family doctor with you.

Brig asad is the spinal surgeon at CMH Rawalpindi who is really competent.As the MRI clearly shows the slipped disc pressing upon the nerve she needs to be seen by the spinal surgeon and not by the neurologist.

My sister got operated for the same from karachi, Jinnah hospital... Dr suleman is the surgeon, a competent and reliable surgeon..... May ALLAH (SWT) grant absolute health.

Pain related to slip disc type issue is always very excruciating. Just because the pain is high does not mean one should rush for surgery. I would suggest to follow WiZeIce's advice above and she also MUST try YOGA exercise for at least 3 months and avoid heavy lifting for the rest of her life. Yoga is scientifically proven to help in back issues.

A little confuse and not able to decide therefore needs opinion from you expert guys

I am thinking to buy a 4 marla commercial file either in DHA pahse 9 or DHA 8 Z block knowing that Phase 9 will be a long term investment may be from 10-15 years (balloting in 2015, development charges payment in 3 years, development in 6-8 years and then populated may be in an other 2-4 years), while on the other hand Z block may be available in the next 5-7 years but its only a block and not the complete society like phase 9 hence the commercial may not be valued as it will be in phase 9.

Will appreciate if you guys can help me to take my decision by shedding some info on the both projects and their future

Your confusion is justified Sir. Its not possible to predict the future, But in my opinion Phase 9 will be a better option even if one could construct on it after 10 years. The rest will depend on
location of plot after ballot and general trend of property.

If the file materializes into a plot eventually, you will not loose in both options. But file business involves risk and one should be aware for it.

IN my opinion if u are ready to stuck your money for ten years then phase 9 is the best option due to following reasons:

1) you may get good return here than z block phase 8.

2) phase 8 z commercial is a sector therefore central commercial(cca)of phase 9 is much better.

3) cca of phase 7 at P and T sectors dominate z block hence it looses it,s impotence because no brand will go there, where as there is more attraction for brands in phase 9.

4) in z block u know it is sector commercial but in phase 9 there are likely chances that u may get plot either on main bole-ward or CCA therefore has more potential to give u good return.

SUGGESTION: instead of buying one file of phase 9 commercial u should also think to bye one canal residential plot in possessioned areas of phase 7 and one 5 marla plot in phase 9 dha shuhooda town because u will notice that after 3 year u can earn profit more than 60 lac, and second thing u will remain at ease while keeping these 2 products in hand because its the trend of the dha markeet that it never crashes once the plots are given possession.

Any property Legal Expert please tell us that once physical possession of plot has been taken from LDA and size has been determined/demarcated on ground by the LDA Surveoyer himself in the presence of owner and handing over the authenticated letter showing exact dimensions/size of plot has been done ,can LDA after doing all this, at their own reduce the size of plot?
If they do that can we go to the court and prosecute them for their illegal action?
