RZ replied on Saturday, January 24, 2015 05:56 AM It is very common issue and irritates a lot when two houses are joined and water gets in between two walls from top. We must note that two cements do not join to each other as cement shrinks when gets dry therefore it gets apart and give a crack. You must fill this gape with non shrink material. That can be a tailor made bituminous sheet rolled and tack in between wall and then pour hot bitumen on this roll to assure it is one rope type packing between two walls. Fabricate some sort of aluminium or galvanized sheets flashing " bridge " and fix it in such a way that rain water does not get in between walls. Ideally it is better to keep one wall higher then other by one layer of brick and slop both wall by camfering to lower side. Fabricate a galvanized Capping and embed the edging between bricks last layer. I understand it will never be easy to understand for a ordinary man You must take some experts services for this work. |
