Dear Brother CMY,

I am a retired teacher and currently living in USA.I can't travel to pakistan due to some immigration.I want to invest some money in lahore real estate market with the help of my brother in pakistan on long term for my childrens.I heard that dha is the only society that offer you the option to buy while you overseas.and you can sign the documents whenever you come to pakistan (no time period).please guide me the basics of buying property in dha.I know its a very childish question for you but for me its a big question because buying first time for all my lifelong hard earned money.all detailed answers will really appreciated.thanks

Many societies allows you to buy property with out traveling to Pakistan but most trusted and respected is Defence housing society Lahore.

Any one in Pakistan witn CNIC can transfer property in your name. Buyer must be Pakistani citizen even if he had a foreign passport. Need two pictures. Your passport and viaa copy with matching exit entry to prove you are living abroad. Your CNIC. Your friend or relative will go to DHA head office in DHA phase 6 transfer office. Seller and your representative will sign documents. Rest of the paperwork will be completed by your estate agents.
You are now new owner. Property cant be sold whiteout you comming to Pakistan or sending power of attorney that takes 90 days to complete.

When ever you visit Pakistan just go to DHA with paperwork you got and NIC to receive an allocation or allotment letter. Even if you go to Pakistan after 20 years you are safe hands with DHA.

Due to time difference issues and disturbance to my family in small house here in Chicago USA I dont publish my phone number on web. Houses here are made in USA with dry walls or wood and if one person speaks in one room whole house can listen. Forgot to say this is called on behalf transfer and only available for Overseas Pakistani friends not for people out if Lahore l. If you are Pakistan you must appear in person. To sell you must apear in person or transfer it via 3 months long process with use of power if attorney.
