We got many files taken care today. Like I was expected long lines in DHA now. Two hour wait in like to get them checked.


Will send email of file got checked today If I am still alive in few hours :) Had only 3 hour sleep today.

Trying to catch up but way too much work. A lot more than my imaginations. i am now praying with both hands May 15 2015 is here and I can take some rest.

Dear CMY with a lot prays for you. I am also holding files and plots in DHA. We overseas canot run a business otherthan buying properties. But seeing all below posts it seems that if one has no phase 9 file he will die. Life starts from phase 9 and end there. With due respect and agree on your all investment analysis. Who has missed the train. Only SAFAID POSH people. Now one cant think to build own home with HALAL income. Don't tell techniques to investors that how they can hold plots as you mentioning below. Thirsty people who really wants to build home can't get land this way. This is HARAM. This is kind of storage where you are teaching to store something beyond ones requirements and creat a shortage of land and protect needy people to build home in reasonable price. Please don't do this. Afraid from Allah. Othercase I am not seeing your any role in national economy but making things expensive.

Property is very halal way of earning , scams betting etc not , plus in country where stock market consider hilal and no one q on banking system of jews whether with name of islamic banking or not you should ask this

sorry for so many posts , i got emotional because the first plot 1k my father bought from his halal earning years and years ago to make home for his children it was young cmy who was handling him file , few years back in 2011 (when i was studying near where is now dha Multan is)and looking for plot on internet after selling that file my father bought to make home from no where i landed on this website and cmy advised me to buy where i am living now , and now when i bought file in phase 9 costly few years back now i saw cmy supporting this phase 9 files and advising his best here , just respect i have.

I agree with what AH has said but this trend is same all over the world. Pakistan is no different. Here at Australia, alot of chinese people are investing in Sydney property market and the price of property has doubled in last 4-5 years. Now these investers won't live in Australia. They had surplus money and they had put it somewhere where they think it is safe. But for local people they had inflated the property prices and they hate them. Similar, most of overseas Pakistanis and people from other cities generally put their money in buying property in big cities as they regard it as safe investment. Some do it because they don't trust the country where they are living or some do it for tax purposes. I was earning more than 1 Lakh in my job in Lahore 4 years ago. I left that job and relocated to Australia as I knew i will not be able to make or buy a house with that salary. Now, I have managed to buy 2 properties in Pakistan. But i dont have plans to return back in near future. so i will keep them as it is for next some years till I feel like coming back. Till then i will keep on buying properties for investment if i have any surplus money with me. I dont want to do business as I am too lazy for it and there is a lot of risk involved in it in Pakistan. It may be my greed or the fear of unknown. I am sure everyone thinks this way.

A general trend in west is that People take loans from bank and spend next 25-30 years of their lives paying it back. Their house is the only saving they are left with. In Pakistan, we don't have this trend but with the rate the price of property is shooting up, no wonder in coming years it will become a common trend.

Dear Syed. I understand and regard your emotions. This is not HARAM to buy a plot for future home. But what if one holding 100 files and 50 plots or even few. What would you say him. Buying agriculture land is good. That land would produce corps to feed people. Buy land for industry would creat jobs and benifit country. Do trading , it is ok. Buy shops and rent out. Build homes and sell them or rent out. But holding only plot for what? For inflation? Don't we think that we all are making difficult to build a dream home for many. To buy something and store and cauzing inflation in market is justified?

Aoa,All,

first thing is dont be emorional and dont be judgmental yourself.But be Open to listen and try to find out our own mistakes by knowing the truth.
If you people allow me, I would like to tell few words,
I had bought ph 8 8 marla in 2010 with the intention of building a plaza on it and renting it out. Not thinking to sell it after getting some profit.(I checked different fatwas from muftis, that is ok.)

Later in 2015 I wanted to sell it and changing my intention of building the plaza.I checked with muftis. found that if intention is to sell and make profit from it(as obviously it is giving me profit now)I have to pay zakat on it.

so intention is very important, if someone is holding to sell it later,zakat id due on it after 1 year. if you want to build ur dream house than it is for your personal use.or if u want to build plaza and rent out , zakat is on the rent it generates.

Summary,
Knowledge is important,know your own religion, as we all have to face ALLAH one day. live happy, try to true and helping others, make others life easy not difficult.
I understand CMY is a SINCERE person. Respect him. and he is not responsible for the decisions of other people. It is everyone's right and job to know what your ALLAH wants from you. but only if you care. else no worries we all have to face ALLAH soon.May ALLAH guide and help me and all others as well.

Once you change your intention to sell the plot, do you pay zakat once on the proceeds or do you pay it for all the years that you have kept the plot? Thanks

This is really very nice discussion. Agreed with Baba Ji. And no question on CMY honesty and experties. I wish a Mufti SB jump in. I worked in DHA and had seen investors holding plots 100s. This is Zakira Andozi kind of thing. Imagine if we buy only one file or plot based on our need. How much plots will be cheap and in range of all.
Whole lahore is being converted into commercial. But how many jobs we are creating with this money. At the end we are just making things expensive. Thats why in my openion real estate business has no role in country economy but to making things expensive.

As far as in my knowledge, when I checked, it was once I change the intention. but I would always mention Mufti, or even credible Alim Deen can guide you. as each case varies.As we try to go to a good doctor for our disease, We have a duty from Our Creator, Raziq, Hafiz, Malik, healer(ALLAH) and to whom we all have to face soon, to get the knowledge about HALAL , HARAM, JAIZ and NaJAIZ, and Clean and unclean.So better you can get exact guidance in your case from a mufti, or Alim deen, then decide for yourself.where as ALLAH is most forgiving and Merciful. ALLAH loves us all.do we?

For your kind info this is only the method where phase getting improvement as well as investor interest. This is 100 % truth. Big investor may be land owners also. That is why prices are going up and down of one phase before balloting 2 to 3 time in the year.

first decide its sin or not , stocking one or 100 does not matter as u said doing 100 is sin , asin is sin uncle , on other hand cmy just giving his analysis according to market here may be right or wrong , people who are coming to this forum actually working hard to get market pulse and to understand what is going on , and those who work hard always get reward others who are not hardworking or consider some other guru or mufti are not coming to this forum , you said some mufti should come into this debate i must say you should work hard and find someone for your inner peace because 1400 years ago its said work hard to gain and even go to china for education , may u choose right mufti or walli ALLAh ameen.
