Assalama Alikum,

I have a 30 years old 10 Marla house in Umer Block, Allama Iqbal Town which I gave on rent once I moved to EME some years back. Now I m getting 17 Millions for that house but one of my friend is advising me not to sell it as he thinks once the orange lane crosses near Allama Iqbal Town prices will further shot. I was thinking of selling it to buy plots on raiwind road but now confused as whether to hold this house or not. Dear brothers Ur suggestions will help me make up my mind.

Its better you can invest in something which has more juice. Developed society can only achieve little in line with the money depreciation. If I were you I would invest in more lucrative options such as buying on ground plots in DHA. You can get two 10Marla in phase 7 and 1 Kanal in Phase 9. All with extremely good future ahead. 170 lac is very good price for this House and Orange Line should not affect it much. In these areas nothing Comes from news as it is has already passed news phase these are hyper mature properties. Metro must have not added any price to Rehman Pura. People using these facilities are those who can even afford Motor Bike. In 50 members of my family no one traveled on metro ever.
It is better to Invest on Raiwind Road side or DHa 7

IF you are a resident of EME....its good if you can invest on Canal Road.....there are very nice options available which you can visit in 10 minutes.

Canal Garden Phase II
NFC2 for long term return
Atomic Energy
Sui Gas II

Dont put all the eggs in one basket and trust me these societies would benefit you more than DHA.

You house is close to main street or close to commercial?

1.70 corer is very good deal for 10 M house.

Both. Close to Ali market, park, mosque, karim block market and wahdat road.

I agree with the suggestions of Zaheer Sb and Jameel Sb.

In my opinion, you can switch your investment promptly to good location on-ground plots in Dha P.7 or DHA P.8 (proper) it will give you handsome returns by 2017
